Health and Safety: Workplace dangers

Workplace Health and Safety Committees

While laws on workers' right to know let workers find out about workplace hazards, workers on health and safety committees and worker health and safety representatives get to know even more about hazards in the workplace. Representing workers' concerns, workers on health and safety committees and worker health and safety representatives work with management on improving workplace health and safety.

Employers keep the minutes, or the notes, from health and safety committee meetings posted for workers to see. Employers also post in the workplace the names and contact information of workers on health and safety committees and worker health and safety representatives.
